Q: Why should I hire Mozgomedia over some other videographer?
A: Two reasons: A top-notch, quality product and professional service. We are passionate about a great, high-end product that will very much please our clients. The cameramen, editors, and technicians at Mozgomedia have numerous years of experience in the audio-visual, television and video industry. We also perform all of our services in-house assuring quality control throughout the production process as opposed to farming out the production steps to various people
Our service, however, could very well be the one reason why you should choose Mozgomedia above all other companies. Here at Mozgomedia, we recognize that other video companies provide similar packages, and even pricing within a few hundred dollars of one another. But our service is unparalleled. We have a commitment to excellence and to meet your needs to your complete satisfaction.
back to questions
Q: Do you travel?
A: We travel all around the Los Angeles area (usually within a 200 mile radius.) We also will travel out of the area and out of state and we have done so for clients as far as the East Coast. Because our first priority is your peace of mind and your convenience, we are flexible about travel plans and costs. Situations and locations vary so all you need to do is contact us and we will discuss the plans with you.

Q: How do you record sound during the event?
A: Wireless microphones enable us to record with CD-quality clarity what a speaker may be saying. Alternatively, we can take audio coming out of an amplification system already in place and record that separately from the video camera onto a Digital Audio Recorder. Many videographers only use microphones that attach directly to the cameras. Although this makes it easier for the editor to synch voices and images, it does not ensure the best quality sound.

Q: What music do you use for the video?
A: You can supply us with music on CDs or we have an existing library of music we can use. Additionally, for any music tracks we don’t have, they can be purchased easily for less than a dollar online (for internal use only). Music for public exhibition, such as web videos generally have to be licensed. We deal with many music libraries and recommend the most cost-effective solution.

Q: Will my special event be too dark to film?
A: In almost all circumstances, the answer is no. We also survey the locations we film in and bring additional lighting if needed and permitted. We also use the latest in digital camera technology -- cameras that are capable of shooting in lighting conditions as low as 2 lux (1 lux is about the brightness of one candle from one meter's distance.)

Q: What if I want to see all of the footage from my recording?
A: We keep all of the raw footage (unedited footage) of your video recording. If you want copies of this raw material, we can provide it for you as an “a la carte item.” The price of this a la carte item is roughly equivalent to the cost of materials (DVD Media) and labor (to make the DVD copy.)

Q: Do you print customized DVD cases?
A: The cases we present your DVDs in are made of durable molded plastic like the ones in which Hollywood retial DVDs are purchased. We customize the cover to include a beautifully designed title and background image that will add to the overall value of your video. This packaging is usually negotiated on a per project basis, but is usually included in the cost of your production.

Q: What is the Pre-Production Meeting?
A: The Pre-Production Meeting is essentially the time when you and Mozgomedia will get together to go over preliminary details and get to know one another. During the Script Stage or Pre-Production Meeting, we have the opportunity to find out more about your project, any special requests that you might have, how would you like us to shoot and specific needs. This is also an excellent time for you to ask us questions that you may have about our services.

Q: What is the payment time line?
A: Mozgomedia makes it as easy as possible for you to hire us for your video production.
Usually you pay a 33% deposit of our final quote to secure our services and the dates you've chosen for your production. After that, there will be one or two invoices (depending on the nature of your project) with balance due when you receive the completed products.

Q: How do we get started?
A: Please contact us by phone (310-633-7639) or email. Thereafter, we would set up a meeting with you -- at your convenience -- so that you can have any other questions answered. We are also flexible to meet again if you so desire, however most questions that arise after the Pre-Production Meeting can usually be answered on the phone or via email without another meeting.
